DRAGONSHOT is a wrist-mounted catapult toy designed to support development for children ages 6 to 8 years old while still being enjoyable for older family members to get involved in the action. This toy helps children learn hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and cause-and-effect relationships with a range of group and solo play modes to develop independence as well as group social interaction. By being enjoyable for older children and even adults, Dragonshot fosters child-sibling and child-parent relationships that are vital for physical and mental development at a young age.
The Dragonshot set comes with three separate components: the launcher, the Velcro ball, and the target ship. A pull-back spring system is what powers the launcher to be able to fire the ball up to 10 meters away, while the velcro ball sticks to fabrics and clothing. This opens the door for the user to create their own games and scoring ideas, especially for games involving the target ship or player-vs-player competition. The sail is also designed to be removable allowing children to personalize their own sails to their preferences or to create team games.
